what you do is as important as who you are
One of my favorite worst questions to be asked: what do you do? Mainly because I realized that this question was always my time to present myself like a resume or sell myself as a product. My answer always sounded nice, but I wasn’t living in my purpose. And if you’re not living in your purpose, you’re doing busy work.
Busy kills. How long will you allow popularity to be your shining light?
A man of God whom I admire so deeply told me: you’ve spent a long time being effective, but you still have not embodied or walked in your purpose. So, the cat’s out the bag: you can be effective and still out of your purpose.
So, I beg the question: who are you?
Once you answer this, you’ll witness the mystery unfold. Questions will come to you that you will begin to try to answer. As you discover who you truly are, you begin to see how what you do fulfills purpose when it takes into full account who you are.
