Happy New year!

In the New Year, we generally like to start clean or “from scratch.” Day 1 of 365. New beginnings. Fresh chapter. New imaginations. New goals. So, what better way for a writer to start their new year off than by actually physically writing. My writing skills have been strengthened and even my physical writing ability and stamina has increased. So, enjoy my handwriting that looks like that of a 12 year old girl lol. Anyway, to give a bit of context, after prayer, I began to read scripture and the flow of scriptures was:

Luke 7:47—“Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgive; hence she has shown great love. But the one to whom little is forgiven loves little.”)

Romans 5:8-10—But God proves his love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us. Much more surely, therefore, since we have now been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.

Colossians 2:14—erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands. He set this aside, nailing it to the cross.

Ephesians 1:7—In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

So, here’s how it went: Colossians 2:14 struck me, so I kept reading and I landed on Colossians 2:18 which is how I ended up on today’s journal entry. So, since about May or June, I’ve kept a prophetic devotional journal where I engage with God and then I listen for the word he’s giving for the day’s devotion. It hadn’t been without fail, but it’s the most consistent I’ve ever been with a thing and I’m so proud. I don’t know where this new year will lead, but I anticipate that the devotions will be prominent, permanent, and felt.
